Been way to long

It has been way to long since I posted anything on here. My last post was in January, and the last time I check that was 5 months ago. So much has been going on. This might upload automatically being as that is what I have it set up to do.

I finished up the spring semester at college, and you know what? It wasn’t as bad I remember it. I mean I didn’t enjoy working and doing homework every night, but it wasn’t so bad. I ended with. 3b’s, and 1 C+.

I am currently writing this on an iPad and I am wondering how this is going to work out. I’ll post another update when I have more time.

Excited but nervous

So today begins the next season of my life. I am kinda excited, and I am kinda nervous at the same time. I am ready to just sit back and see what this next adventure in my life is going to take. I know that I am in the right place at the right time, and I know that I am exactly where I need to be. It’s funny how I’m realizing that when you do something in Gods will and Gods time then everything else just kinda falls into place

Incase you haven’t read or talked to me in a while I have decided to go back to college and finish my degree. My mom wanted me to finish it, and if I work really hard at it I can be done in the spring of 2015 at the latest. That requires me to take summer courses, and a winter quick term course, but in all honesty it just means putting off my plans for a year. When you really think about it one year is not really to long from now. I’m kind of excited to go back to college, but I’m not that excited to start doing homework again. I have decided that I don’t want anything less then a B in any of my classes.

It’s kinda funny that since my mom died around two months ago how much my plans have changed, and how much has gone on but there are two things that I have really been learning.
The first one is to learn how to prioritize things, and do things in an orderly fashion. I hate organizing things and prioritizing, but I have really been trying to get things in order if I am to accomplish my set goal. (To add on I also I want to pay off all my classes in full, and I want to pay off everything I owe in full by the time I finish college)
The second thing that I have been learning is how to be content on everything. This is something that God has really been speaking to me about. I used to just want to get into the world, and now that I am home bound for a while I’m actually starting to be content. Paul talks about it in Philippians 4:12

I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

This next verse is one of the verses that has had the most impact on me the past few months

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we gave everything.

This verse just reminds me that no matter what the circumstances we need to continue to trust and love God. Paul is taking about all the hardships the church in Corinth is having, and they found contentment in Christ. That’s my plan to be content in everything.

It has been a little over a month

It has been a little over a month since my mom has passed away.  There has been a lot going on, and I’ve been really busy.  I think it’s kinda funny how all of our life plans can change in a less then 24 hours… less then 12 hours for that matter, actually less then 8 hours if you want to be exact.  So where do I even begin with whats been going on.

For the first thing I felt like it was time to upgrade my phone to a smart phone.  I needed up getting an iPhone 5c in white.  It is something that I have been wanting to get for a while, and now I finally have it and I’m not sure how i feel about it yet.  I mean I love the phone and everything, don’t get me wrong,  but now I’m wondering do i really need it?

As it turns out, I’m not going to Switzerland in March of 2014.  I need to stay home, I feel like God is telling me to stay home, and finish my degree.  My wanted me to finish my degree more then anything, and I want to honor her and finish it.  I did switch my major to digital mass media.  So i can get a degree in film.

I am working on a few different projects that I am working on this year.  One of the things that I bought a few days before my mom passed was a chronological bible.  (It’s a bible that is read in the way that everything is done chronologically.)  This next year I want to get back into skateboarding.  That is another project I want to do as well.  I want to reach kids that skateboard and tell them about Christ.

I guess the last thing to post is that I should really start blogging more.  I think that officially starting this new year, I am going to try to post a blond once or twice a week.  I know I keep saying that but I really do love blogging.  Maybe this will be my new years resolution to blog more.  I’m not really sure what else I am going to post here tonight or this morning.

Here is a list of things I need to do before classes start
1. Clean my room
2. Get ready for my classes
3. Finish my budget
4. Organize my life more.
5. Have more of a social life

Well thats it.  Hope you enjoyed reading!!

Been a Crazy Week

This week has been such a crazy week.  I mean just starting Sunday it has been a non-stop week.
Lets see, Monday I didn’t do anything because I like to take a day off once a week, so Monday ended up being my day off this week.  I think that all I really did was sit around my house, and played some playstation.  I worked all weekend at Olive Garden, all day Saturday, and Sunday.
Tuesday I started a project that is going to take me a few days to finish.  My parents bought me a new TV for my room, and in turn I need to rake all the leaves off the front and the back lawn.  So that was my day tuesday, and actually most of my day today (friday).  Today i did buy myself some nice skull candy headphones (talk about black friday shopping, 10 bucks at best buy)
Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and I spent the day with my family, went to my cousins house, watched some football, and ate way to much food.  My next few days are going to be working, and hopefully trying to get some skateboarding clips on youtube soon.

The final thing the who reason why I am keeping a blog is to write about where I am traveling, and what I am currently doing.  This week I finished up my support letter for when I will be leaving in March.  Also I have started to address my support letters, and work on my staff application.  If everything works out like I am praying it does I will be leaving in March of 2014

The week that has November 19th in it.

Well I finally have some time to to write a brief update.

I guess I haven’t updated this much since Brasil.  If you go to my Facebook page you can go through my pictures in brasil.

When I was in my last week or so of the lecture phase of my DTS I was pretty sure I heard God say to me.  “Type into google skateboarding dts.”  I though sure, why not?  So I did, and it’s really interesting because I only came across a few schools.  One of the school is out in LA, another in Sunshine Coast, Australia, but the one that Really caught my attention, and I really felt like God said to me to go to is in Davos, Switzerland.

As of right now, I am working on getting up a support letter, I am working on getting some sponsors, I am working on getting my paperwork in as soon as I can.  I am trying to raise my set goal of 15,000 dollars.  I know that is a lot, but that covers everything.  Room and food, insurance, Airfare, Everything.  If you would like to support me, you can email me at  You can tell my on Facebook.   Thanks for reading this super quick, but important update.

I think that I am going to start posting every Friday night from now on, let me know what you think of that idea.

ok, so this is going to be very quick and to the point.  We leave for Brazil tomorrow morning sometime in the early am.  We have 2 layovers I believe, one in Denver, Houston, and then we land in Rio.  So that aside I have been really busy packing and getting my last minute things together.  We had our last few weeks of lecture, wish I had more time to write about them, but I don’t have time right now at all.

I shaved my head for Brazil so that my hair will be nice and short, and more manageable.

I am praying for some funds to come in as well.  I need around 500.00 to do a summer music tour with my DTS.  So if you are reading this, my address is
Nathaniel Hegyes (DTS)
501 Blacktail RD
Lakeside, MT 59922
I am really praying about this, and I feel like God is telling me to go on this trip.

lastly I don’t know how much time I will have on outreach to write here so it might be better if you request me on facebook.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my adventures so far.  God Bless

Weeks 6 & 7 more detailed

Ok so week 6 was Holy Spirit week.  As I mentioned before I didn’t really learn to much this week.  I mean was interesting and all but I really just learned that I am a son of God.

Week 7 on the other hand was AMAZING.  So my week started Sunday.  We started out at 7:30 am on our drive to Seattle, Washington.  The drive was very long be we got to stay at this awesome church called Westminster Chapel in Belview (sp?)  Sunday was basically arrived late, ate a late dinner, and just went to be early.  Our first day was our usual lectures ( all the days we started out from 9-12 with lectures.  Learning more about our outreach teams and the like.)  Monday night we went out to streets of Seattle to minister to people.  (I have stories that you will hear when I get back.) Tuesday afternoon we went out and had people take surveys, and we helped out the church that we were working with.  Wednesday was another night, and I can’t remember what we did this night.  Thursday was my birthday, and we did a lot of evangelism.  I did my brief 2 minute testimony right in the middle of Seattle.  That was interesting, but also it was such a thrill.  Friday we just walked around Seattle all day.  We went to the gum wall and places like that, I was just a tourism day.  Saturday or yesterday we drove home.  It was a very fun, but long week.

I guess now it is time for me to go to bed.  It is 1am here in Lakeside, and I just wanted to update everyone.
